This recipe originally came from the brownies page and its history can still be found there. liblamb 16:00, 30 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Doesn't this recipe need milk or water or something? i think the batter would have the consistency of bread dough.

I have not made this recipe as I am vegan, but there is a large amount of (melted) margarine and 2 eggs.. I think this probably sufficient for moisture in the recipe. Kellen T 23:32, 11 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

The quantities are wrong[edit source]

" 1 cup (6¾oz - 2.4 dl) sugar"

for sugar:

6.75 oz = 2dl

1 cup = 2.4dl

1 cup = 8.12 oz

(from my experience:) 1 dl = 95 g - ergo -> 2.4 dl = 228 g

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-

" ¾ cup (6¼oz - 180 g/1.8 dl) flour "

for flour:

6.25 oz = 1.85 dl

.75 cup = 6 oz = 1.77 dl

.78 cup = 6.25 oz = 1.85 dl

Ergo, flour is almost right (oz equal to the dl) (it says 1.8 instead of 1.85 there), if you see there. But hey, get it the best you can, if it doesn't cost extra.

(from my experience:) 1 dl = 66.67 g - ergo -> 1.85dl = 123.34g

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-

What works best for me, from what I've tried so far, is the "2.4dl sugar, 1.85dl flour", ergo "228g sugar per 123.34g flour".

You see for yourself.
